Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: 5 Nights per Week
Shift: Night Shift | 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Project Scope

This position provides full-time safety oversight for an electrical subcontractor performing wire pulling, cable installation, and terminations on an active construction project in Kansas City, MO. The Safety Manager will oversee electrical safety operations in a fast-paced construction environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, electrical safety regulations, and client-specific safety protocols.

The Safety Manager will work closely with electrical crews, project leadership, and subcontractors to proactively identify hazards, enforce safe work practices, and support safe execution of electrical installation activities. Responsibilities include supporting energized work planning, reviewing pre-task plans, and maintaining safe work conditions during all electrical installation phases.

Qualifications

✅ OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 required
✅ Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience required
✅ Electrical construction safety experience required
✅ Experience supporting wire pulling, cable installation, and electrical terminations preferred
✅ Data center construction experience preferred
✅ Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
✅ Strong field presence and ability to influence safe work practices

Additional Requirements

✅ Ability to work night shift schedule consistently
✅ Comfortable working in active electrical construction environments
✅ Strong documentation, reporting, and hazard mitigation capabilities
✅ Ability to work independently and collaborate with project leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety operations for electrical subcontractor activities
• Enforce OSHA standards, site safety programs, and client safety protocols
• Lead pre-shift safety huddles and weekly safety meetings
• Review and approve pre-task plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Conduct site orientations, safety inspections, and audits
• Monitor electrical safety compliance during wire pulling and cable installation activities
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety observations
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
• Coordinate with electrical supervisors, project management, and subcontractors to mitigate hazards and ensure safe work execution
