UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Project Controls Specialist (Planner/Scheduler) opportunity in Kansas City, MO.


Description

The Senior Project Controls Specialist leads project controls processes and consults with the project management team to ensure client satisfaction. Presents schedule status reports to project management team and client. Validate proper set-up and management of the Primavera P6 Project Schedule(s).
Validate proper Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is utilized.
Develop effective scheduling reports for projects.
Develop, implement, and manage the reporting data warehouse to produce valuable program controls reports and data for multiple large projects.
Provide leadership and training to team members ensuring the resolution of difficult project control issues.
Develop and implement project controls execution plans.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential clients, customers, and contractors.
Responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics.
Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.
Validate the accuracy of schedule management and forecast reporting.
Interface with the Project Management Team.
Review upstream (prime contract) / downstream (purchase orders & subcontract) change orders.
Lead the Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
Lead the presentation of Project Controls reporting when required
Validate schedule progress.
Analyze and evaluate schedule management involving the critical path method of scheduling techniques.
Perform schedule what-if scenarios.
Validate the accuracy of earned value management system reporting.
Analyze progress measurement.
Analyze progress curves.
Review material takeoffs.
Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
If assigned to the field, perform field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes.
Perform Project Forensic Analysis.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all policies and standards
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. and 7 years direct project controls experience. Required or
 Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.    Required  Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating and document control required. 
Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface those construction schedules with engineering and procurement activities preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.   OSHA 10-hour safety certification  Ability to obtain
