Summary:

The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments to ensure products, equipment, and service parts are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. This position works closely with customers, vendors, carriers, freight brokers, and internal departments to schedule shipments, prepare shipping documentation, manage transportation-related activities, resolve shipping exceptions, and maintain accurate shipment records within company systems. The role also provides operational support within the warehouse and fulfillment environment as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including parcel, LTL, truckload, and expedited freight
  • Obtain freight quotes, schedule pickups and deliveries, and communicate shipment status with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, labels, and other required records
  • Process and maintain accurate shipment information, freight costs, tracking numbers, dimensions, weights, serial numbers, and shipping records within company systems
  • Resolve shipping exceptions including delays, freight claims, damaged shipments, address corrections, returns, and delivery issues
  • Coordinate specialized shipments including export orders, equipment installations, customer-arranged freight, and trade show shipments
  • Support warehouse operations through picking, packing, labeling, staging, loading, unloading, and inventory counting as needed
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies and transportation requirements while promoting a safe and organized work environment
  • Identify opportunities to improve shipping accuracy, efficiency, and customer service

Education and/or Experience:

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to accurately interpret shipping documents, packing lists, labels, and customer instructions

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of shipping, logistics, transportation, warehouse, or supply chain experience
  • Experience with parcel, LTL, and international freight processes
  • Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, or carrier shipping systems
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred
  • Experience preparing import/export or international shipping documentation
  • Powered Industrial Truck certification or willingness to obtain certification

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, crouch and use hands to handle products. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally operating or in the vicinity of Powered Industrial Trucks. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The ambient temperature can be cool in the winter and hot in the summer. The employee is exposed to normal dust, dirt, and particulates associated with closed case products being received from vendors throughout the world.
