Job Description Summary:

Lindt & Sprüngli is searching for a Systems Analyst (Retail) who would be responsible to design, develop and maintain business information system applications for LSNA Restaurant and Retail division including system requirement assessment, design, implementation, programming, testing, integration, debugging, and documentation. Primary focus is on Point-of-Sale (POS), credit card (EMV) solution, and other systems that integrate into the POS.

This role requires a deep understanding of Hospitality, project implementation, and strong communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate should be a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up his or her sleeves working across cross-functional teams to deliver services, meet service levels, and mature IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead alignment between internal teams, business users, and third-party vendors to ensure completion of tasks, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Develop project roadmaps including plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure successful service delivery.

  • Act as a technical consultant to the business, assisting in translating business objectives into technical strategies and solutions that are communicated effectively to third-party vendors and development teams.

  • Analyze/design solutions to address business needs or to help guide with the selection of appropriate systems/technology for issue while keeping existing systems, integration, and processes in mind.

  • Assist in defining and developing strategy for systems supporting Retail/Hospitality

  • Monitor work progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with users and other stakeholders, understanding their business needs and providing solutions that add value.

  • Serve as the technical contact and advisor for users and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable guidance.

  • Communicate regularly with various stakeholders and with the internal team to provide updates, address concerns, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in the retail landscape and lend expertise in related system integrations, data flow, and business processes. 

  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and processes while working with existing systems, integrations, and processes. 

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by encouraging teamwork and sharing knowledge among team members.

  • Partnering with Business stakeholders across various departments to help identify opportunities or address concerns.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service delivery processes, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate effectively in translating technical concepts for business audiences or for delivering business needs to technical audiences.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of proven experience in a similar role

  • 1 year of relevant operational experience and understanding of Restaurant/Retail store processes/daily operations.

  • The ability to understand business language and the business needs and identify the best software solutions to support the business is a required core skill.

  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and committed to meeting challenging deadlines and creating/improving processes.

  • Ability to work closely with business users and understand their requirements then able to identify, document, and implement technical solutions to meet those requirements.

  • Strong ability to work with a project-oriented attitude, i.e. ability to define and follow clear tasks and deadlines, to work in cross-functional teams and to make team members accountable for their tasks.

  • Skilled at identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate.

  • Strong verbal and analytical skills

  • 1-2 years’ experience in IT focused on the Hospitality business, ideally working with JDA/WinDSS or GK Software as POS

  • Ability to configure POS and define clear specifications when technical development is needed.

  • Ability to understand, implement, and document new systems and technologies quickly to enhance existing/new software/hardware solutions.

  • Strong verbal and analytical skills

  • Ability to accept and embrace change as rapidly as the business needs to change.
