Responsibilities

 

***Neuro and Spine Scrub experience is a plus!!***

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): 

 

  • Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and sterilize all instruments before surgery.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assist with various tasks.
  • Count and manage sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
  • Help position and drape patients appropriately for surgery.
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted) upon hire and maintain current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: 

  • Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties
  • Graduation from an ORT training program within 6 months of hire or on the job training with a minimum of 2 years experience in a surgical setting
