- Drive Sales - Actively engage clients on the sales floor, identify opportunities, and close sales with confidence and enthusiasm. When you're not working on a design project, you're on the floor generating new business.
- Design Consultations - Advise clients on space planning, layout, color schemes, and product selections that align with their vision, lifestyle, and budget.
- Create Compelling Presentations - Develop detailed proposals including quotes, floor plans, and product specifications for client review and approval.
- Own the Client Experience - Follow up with every client to ensure complete satisfaction, and resolve any post-order issues quickly and efficiently. A problem is never "someone else's."
- Build & Maintain a Client Book - Proactively reach out to past and potential clients, nurture relationships, and systematically grow your book of business through clienteling efforts.
- Be a Team Player - Collaborate with colleagues, support the sales floor, and contribute to a positive, high-energy environment where everyone helps each other succeed.
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who takes initiative without being asked

- Weekend availability is required - our busiest days are when our clients shop
- Someone who embodies good character - honest, dependable, and genuinely invested in the success of clients and colleagues alike
- Formal training or a degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field is a plus - but equivalent experience and a genuine passion for design are equally welcome
- Prior experience in retail sales or a client-facing design role is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in design tools and software (floor planning, mood boards, etc.) is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously is required
- Passion for home décor, furnishings, and the Nell Hill's brand is essential
