Job Description

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's Crittenton Children's Center in South Kansas City, MO is seeking a Hospital Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide individual, family, and group therapy to children admitted to our psychiatric hospital. The Work:
  • Conducts individual, family, and group therapy with admitted hospital patients ages 3-18.
  • Recommends and implements general therapeutic interventions both for individual clients and for overall program development
  • Functions as the therapist and primary contact for patients and families with the psychiatrist as clinical team leader
We are seeking Hospital Therapists with experience working with children and families utilizing evidence-based practices. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the system and processes of mental health care, as well as a deep understanding of the impact of trauma on children and families. This position will require the skills necessary to develop communication systems that triage workloads on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with great communication and written skills with a warm, caring attitude. To be successful in this role, you must be detail oriented, efficient, adaptable, and capable of multitasking. This position requires you to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.

Must have a master's degree and applicable MO license (LMSW, LPC, PLPC, LCSW) or eligible for same within 120 days of hire.
