A warm and welcoming family in Katonah, NY is seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Nanny to become an integral part of their household. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a beautiful home while also enjoying spending time with children when needed. The family has three wonderful children, ages nearly 6, 4, and 2, and is in the process of welcoming an au pair, so this role will be primarily focused on housekeeping with occasional childcare support.
The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, kind, and flexible. The family is looking for someone who enjoys keeping a household running smoothly and is happy to step in with the children for occasional after-school care, date nights, or when schedules change.
Schedule
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Katonah, NY
- Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
- Hours: Approximately 10:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Weekly schedule will generally remain consistent, though the family appreciates some flexibility and will provide advance notice for any changes or evening/date-night coverage.
- Live-Out Position
Responsibilities
- Complete daily housekeeping for a 9,000-square-foot home with 6 bedrooms and approximately 9 bathrooms
- Deep cleaning, organizing, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining the home to a high standard
- Family laundry, ironing, folding, and linen changes
- Keep closets, storage areas, and household spaces organized
- Assist with household errands and general household management as needed
- Provide occasional childcare support before or after school, during school breaks, date nights, or when the family's au pair is unavailable
- Assist with school pickups, activities, and supervision when needed
- Help with children's dinner and evening routines as requested
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a large private home
- Strong housekeeping skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable balancing housekeeping with occasional childcare
- High energy, proactive, and self-motivated
- Kind, warm, and flexible personality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
Requirements
- Comfortable caring for three children, ages nearly 6, 4, and 2, when needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable swimming with children
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Strong professional references
- Comfortable working collaboratively with parents and an au pair
Salary and Benefits
- $40-45/hour, paid on the books
