Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney located in Greater Houston. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing various aspects of litigation cases including conducting legal research, drafting motions, preparing for and attending court proceedings, handling trials, and conducting depositions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining case files, coordinating with clients and witnesses, and performing other duties as assigned.


Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support cases
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
  • Communicating with clients and opposing counsel
  • Stay up to date on changes in the law and legal procedures
  • Manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines
  • Participate in the development and implementation of legal strategies
  • Represent the firm in professional organizations and legal associations


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Experience in handling complex civil or criminal cases a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a legal team.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

Education and Experience:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
