What You'll Do
As a Material Handler, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials and inventory move efficiently throughout our warehouse. Daily responsibilities may include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments against packing slips
- Stocking and organizing materials in designated warehouse locations
- Picking, pulling, packing, and preparing customer and project orders for shipment
- Performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Using RF scanners, handheld devices, and warehouse management systems to track inventory
- Loading, unloading, and transporting materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Assisting with shipping, labeling, and preparing outbound freight
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Following OSHA safety standards and proper material handling procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems
- Ability to pass a physical exam
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience
- Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment
- Strong math skills for counting, verifying, and tracking inventory
