Job DetailsJob Location: CCOH - Westheimer Main - Katy, TX 77450Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School Diploma/GEDTravel Percentage: Up to 10%Job Shift: DayJob Category: Other PositionsUS Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Cardiology Center of Houston in Katy, TX Responsibilities: •   Greet and prepare patients for cardiac evaluations and office visits. •   Record and verify patient medical history and vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, weight, height, etc.). •   Performs electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter monitor setup, and stress test preparation (as trained). •   Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider. •   Maintain exam rooms, ensure cleanliness, and stock supplies. •   Ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner. •   Other related duties as assigned. •   Accurately document all clinical information in eCW system. •   Process cardiac clearances and prior authorizations. •   Manage inbound and outbound calls, including prescription refill requests and patient questions. Requirements: • Certified Medical Assistant required• Cardiac Experience • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience • Experience performing EKGs, stress test preparation and patient education preferred. ​​​​  About Katy, TX: Katy is a fast-growing Houston suburb known for top-rated schools and a family-friendly atmosphere.
