General Summary
Coordinate, facilitate, and administer a quality operated system for the company. Resolve quality problems as needed with vendors, customers, quality representatives and company personnel. Review quality assurance standards, existing policies and procedures to evaluate effectiveness of company quality programs. Enforce quality and safety standards. Comply with company procedures and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education, Experience, & Certifications
- Prefer a candidate with welding and fitting knowledge
- ASME Pressure Vessel Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a Quality Department
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for interpreting drawings and checking all pre-fabrication layouts
- Oversee and coordinate NDE activities
- Responsible for day to day floor inspections in accordance to codes and specifications such as: ASME Sec. VIII, ASME B31.1, AWS D1.1
- Qualify and Document all specialized welders
- Perform and oversee VT, MT, PT, and Hydrostatic testing
- Responsible for inspecting all material received
- Fluent interpretation of vessel, structural, piping drawings and checking all layouts
- Oversee and coordinate NDE activities
- Read and Interpret P&ID and general Arrangement Drawings
- Reject and isolate nonconforming items
- Generate and approve final release documentation
- Document and maintain all traceability information
- Review supplier material certificates
