Service Quality Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:
This job is for Tier 1 Completions Solutions. We are an oilfield service company who specializes in wireline perforating. We are growing and require additional support for the management team.Â
This position will work with the operations management team to track service quality performance metrics and document root cause analysis. They will also work with our research and engineering staff to test and implement various new technologies. They will be a resource for the sales staff to communicate about technology and service quality effectively to customers.Â
This is not a normal office job. You will work with the shop and the field and come up with solutions that solve real problems. The position will require travel to our field locations based out of Weatherford, OK, Midland, TX, and Platteville, CO.Â
This is a great opportunity to step into the oilfield as part of the management team. The learning curve is steep, and the rewards are there for people with initiative and strong work ethic.Â
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Completions policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
- Provide technical support to the operations and sales teams.
Pre-Sales Activities:
Â
- Understanding customer requirements and translating them into technical solutions.Â
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Collaborating with sales teams to identify customer needs and opportunities.
- Assist field crews with prejob planning and data entry into various software platforms.
Post-Sales Activities:
Â
- Providing technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems.
- Compile post job data for analysis and tracking against Service Quality KPIs.
- Offering training and support to customers on using the products.Â
- Collecting feedback on products and features to improve the overall customer experience.Â
Other Responsibilities:
Â
- Participating in product improvement initiatives.Â
- Complete Non-conformance Reports.
- Working with other departments to ensure a smooth customer journey.Â
- Plays a key role in bringing new products and services to market.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of safety requirements and industry practices;
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong technical writing ability.Â
- Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions;
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and sales teams.Â
- Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues.Â
- Understanding customer needs and how to present technical solutions.Â
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain);
- Frequent sitting;Â
- Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
- Precise hand eye coordination;
- Basic keyboarding and other skills;
Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- Engineering or related degrees are highly preferred.
- Relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Qualifications:
- Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1 Completions policies;
- 5 years’ drivers abstract, must follow Tier 1 Completions guidelines;
- This position requires driving a company vehicle or using your own vehicle for company purposes and requires an acceptable drivers abstract. Please note that Tier 1 Completions cannot accommodate.
- Preference will be given to candidates that reside in the immediate area of the position;
- Ability to travel;
- Must have the ability to pass a federal background check;
- Must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions.
