Who We Are

WCTractor is an established equipment dealership with locations across Texas. Our reputation is built on product knowledge, long-term customer relationships, and doing business the right way.

The Sealy New Holland location is a busy, high-volume store serving a wide range of customers who rely on their equipment every day. We’re looking to add an experienced Service Writer who can bring consistency, professionalism, and strong service coordination to the operation.

The Role

As a Service Writer, you will be the primary connection between customers and the service department. This role requires clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple service priorities in an active shop environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple service priorities while maintaining organization, accuracy, and clear communication with customers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact between customers and the service department

  • Write clear, accurate work orders including labor, parts, timelines, and technician assignments

  • Build trust with customers through realistic estimates and consistent follow-up

  • Schedule and prioritize repairs based on workload, urgency, and technician availability

  • Translate customer descriptions into usable technical information for technicians

  • Communicate service status, delays, and cost changes clearly and professionally

  • Maintain accurate customer, equipment, warranty, and service records

  • Support improvements in service flow, documentation, and day-to-day processes

Service Writer Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

This position is best suited for someone with equipment service experience who understands how a working shop operates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience as a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or in equipment or mechanical service operations

  • Familiarity with Kubota equipment strongly preferred; experience with agricultural, construction, or turf equipment required

  • Comfortable working in service management systems and basic software applications

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage direct, sometimes difficult customer conversations

  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple jobs without losing accuracy

You’ll be a good fit if you:

  • Stay composed in a busy, imperfect service environment

  • Take ownership of service flow rather than waiting for instructions

  • Communicate clearly with customers, technicians, and management

  • Prefer solving problems to talking about them

  • Understand that good service writing is about accuracy, follow-through, and accountability

This role requires experience, judgment, and the ability to keep things moving.
