About the Role:
Parker Veterinary Hospital PC is looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team in Oxford, MI! Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Monitor and care for patients pre- and post-operatively, including anesthesia monitoring
- Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) following proper safety protocols
- Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment
Requirements:
- Veterinary Technician certification (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred or equivalent clinical experience
- Experience with small animal handling, restraint, and patient care
- Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management software
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, high-energy environment
- Physical ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes
