Cook- Lion’s Den Café

Full-Time Hourly: $25.00 to $28.00 an Hour (DOE)

We are seeking a Full-Time Cook- Lion's Den Café located at our Welcome Center, to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, presentation of meals, and cleaning in our professional kitchen. Occasional catering/food prep for on-site events will be required. Excellent Pay! Come join our team and cook for a cause!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all served food
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders 
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cooking, restaurants, food service, or other related fields: Preferred but no required.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in teams

Required/Other: 

• Valid Drivers License
• High School Diploma/GED
• Able to lift 50lbs or more
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to work as a team
• Perform other duties as requested
