Job DetailsJob Location: Colorado Sand - Keenesburg, CO 80643Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $30.00 - $36.00 HourlyPlant/Shop Maintenance Technician – Colorado Sand   Job Description Colorado Sand is seeking a dependable and motivated Plant/Shop Maintenance Technician to assist with the daily maintenance, repair, and operation of ready-mix concrete plant equipment and facilities. This position supports plant operations by performing preventative maintenance, assisting with repairs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. The Plant/Shop Maintenance Tech works closely with plant management to ensure equipment remains operational and plant facilities are properly maintained. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Assist with plant maintenance, repair, and installation operations as assigned. Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery and mechanical equipment. Assist with troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and determining appropriate repairs. Replace defective or worn mechanical parts as needed. Support special maintenance projects across plant facilities. Maintain machinery and equipment used in ready-mix plant operations. Complete required maintenance documentation and paperwork. Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to plant management. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.   Qualifications High school diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintenance or mechanical experience preferred but not required; training will be provided. Experience repairing or servicing engines preferred. Basic understanding of industrial equipment such as conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and water systems preferred. Basic electrical troubleshooting ability is a plus. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates commitment to workplace safety and company safety programs. Must maintain regular and reliable attendance. Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record. Must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screen.   Work Environment This position works in an outdoor industrial environment at a ready-mix concrete plant. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, loud noise levels, dust, and moving mechanical equipment. Work schedules may include overtime, evenings, nights, and/or weekends depending on business needs. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds independently when necessary. Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 80 feet. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb for extended periods. Ability to navigate uneven terrain, ramps, steps, and ladders. Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment. Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
