Position Summary

The Hospital Laboratory Manager administers policies, manages personnel and daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within the area of responsibility.  

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Maintain adequate inventories of supplies and reagents to perform testing. 
  • Assure adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored. 
  • Monitor current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, ASHI, OSHA, Federal Regulations, and AABB). 
  • Develop, plan and audit departmental goals and budget.  
  • Monitor and serve as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students, and Departmental/Hospital committees.

 

Minimum Requirements
  • BS Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biologic Science. A four- year degree is required for Managers of non-testing areas. 
  • Five (5) years of current/related clinical laboratory experience is required. 
  • ECUH Community Hospitals: Generalist experience to include Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in the laboratory or clinical setting is required.
  • Licensure/Certification: MLS/MT; HT/HTL (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent) certification is required.




 

Pay Range
  • $87,817.60 - $128,002.16 (Annually)
