Meat Cutter - Butcher Associate

Rusty Lantern Markets who is DBA Cummings Market, is looking for a meat cutter or butcher associate to work part time at our store in Kennebunk, ME.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual with experience in meat cutting and grinding hamburger to join our operation. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys working with customers, and is committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare beef and pork products to company standards
• Grind hamburger and prepare products for retail sale
• Package, label, and display products in the retail area
• Assist customers with product selection and purchases
• Stock and maintain attractive retail meat displays
• Keep workstations, equipment, and retail areas clean and sanitized
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Perform general cleanup duties and maintain an organized workspace

Products We Sell

You will work with a variety of fresh meat products, including:

• Ribeye steaks
• New York strip steaks
• Sirloin steaks
• Pork chops
• Steak tips
• Specialty cuts and variations of these products

Qualifications

• Previous experience cutting meat and grinding hamburger required
• Knowledge of meat cuts and proper handling procedures
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move product as needed
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

Hours: We are hiring for a part time associate. Further specifics will be discussed during the in person interview to see what days and hours work best for you.

• Physically must be able to squat, bend, and turn as needed, lift 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
