Brief DescriptionÂ
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reportingÂ
functions of the company. This position will provide critical insights to drive strategic decision-making,Â
optimize financial performance, and ensure the company’s continued growth in the engineering,Â
construction, and manufacturing sectors. Â

Key Responsibilities Â
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,Â
to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvementÂ
• Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, collaborating withÂ
department heads to align financial goals with operational plansÂ
• Conduct detailed cost analysis for engineering, construction, and manufacturing projects, identifyingÂ
cost-saving opportunities and ensuring project profitabilityÂ
• Build and maintain financial models to support capital investment decisions, project evaluations, andÂ
long-term strategic planningÂ
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial and operational performance,Â
providing actionable insights to senior managementÂ
• Perform variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providingÂ
explanations and recommendations to address discrepanciesÂ
• Support pricing and bid analysis by evaluating target margins, cost structures, and risk assumptions. Â
Analyze margin trends by project type, customer, and business lineÂ
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to evaluate project financial performance,Â
including cost overruns, revenue recognition, and profitability Â
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financialÂ
reporting and analysisÂ
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies. Assist in riskÂ
assessments and mitigation strategiesÂ
• Conduct special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by senior management to supportÂ
strategic initiativesÂ

Job Specific Competencies Â
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) andÂ
experience with financial software (e.g., Sage-Intacct, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).Â
Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plusÂ

Compensation
$80,000 – $100,000 annual base salary, plus bonus eligibility.Â

Qualifications (Required) Â
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPAÂ
preferred Â
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in engineering, construction,Â
manufacturing, or related industries
Â
Other Valued Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred) Â
• Experience with job costing and project-based accounting in the construction or manufacturing sectorsÂ
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations specific to the industry Â
• Proficiency in SQL or other data query languages for financial data extraction
