PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engages with assigned Group Operations and Business Development leaders nationally regarding overall market growth strategies and the implementation of company initiatives related to Business Development.

Provides consultation and assistance to the Operations and Business Development teams as follows:

  • Supports local treatment growth market plans and initiatives,
  • Supports business relationships with market stakeholders to facilitate organic growth objectives, and
  • Maintains relationships and communications with Senior Vice Presidents, Group Vice Presidents, Regional Vice

Presidents, Directors Operation/ Area Managers, and Managed Care Departments to implement growth initiatives within the territory.

  • Advises and supports the Business Development team to focus on the preparation and successful execution of all strategic market initiatives in assigned markets, establishing and implementing short, mid and long-term strategies to achieve improved treatment growth.
  • Analyzes and capitalizes strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the assigned markets and coordinates activities as appropriate with Operations and Business Development leaders.
  • Structures and executes highly complex partnerships with stakeholders, which may include payors, providers and physician networks.
  • Ensures continuous department/ team effectiveness by providing guidance, training and subject matter expertise. Provides informal feedback to staff on an ongoing basis. Ensures consistent effectiveness of the team through the selection and motivation of competent staff and facilitates the development of the requisite skills and knowledge by providing coaching, training and leadership development.
  • Participates in the Group Strategic Growth Review meetings, as needed, and other relevant growth-related initiatives.
  • Supports the analytical process for the assigned regions collaborating with the Operations and Business Development teams to review strategy, considering updated practice and marketing information.
  • Prepares feasibility reports, competitive demographic analyses, etc. and makes recommendations for a business case for growth and development opportunities. Assist in the demographic analysis of growth opportunities and new projects within the Business Development territory.
  • Develops metrics and milestones to measure the success of the Strategic Plan and routinely reports and communicates on the progress of the plan.
  • Directly engages on the execution of plans involving any of the above strategies and aligns all necessary resources to do so.
  • Leads projects with cross-functional teams, leveraging cross-functional expertise and resources while exercising influence without formal supervisory responsibilities.
  • Establishes local mission oriented, decision-making processes.
  • Reviews and analyzes financial statements when necessary.

  • Day to day work includes desk and computer work and interaction with patients, facility staff and physicians.
  • The position requires travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. Travel to regional, Group and corporate meetings will be required.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 8 – 12 years of experience in sales and sales management or senior management within healthcare, preferably the dialysis segment.
  • Must be a strategic thinker who is highly analytical.
  • Demonstrated ability to write proposals and negotiate contracts, create local marketing plans and manage geographically diverse business interests.
  • Business development knowledge from evaluation through integration and implementation.
  • Ability to work with and include all levels of the organization in the decision-making process.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to take abstract or complicated concepts and communicate them in a simple, clear, and compelling manner.
  • Ability to deliver results working with individuals of all levels within a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possesses a high degree of flexibility and work well with others in a team capacity.
  • Ability to quickly identify practical ways to test critical uncertainties Ability to work independently and strategically to assess market conditions.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Contributes to the achievement of Operations Business Development growth goals and objectives for the Group by engaging in market strategies and providing expertise as needed to the market leaders. Collaborates with management to support new business opportunities across the US markets to meet Group goals for treatment growth. Focuses on same market treatment growth, de novo projects, strategic partnerships, including the development of relationships with local market nephrologists, health systems, and other market stakeholders to ensure FKC experiences treatment growth at or above market standards.
