.        Accounts Receivable Clerk

  1. Process secondary claims billing according to KGH and payer guidelines.
  2. Retrieve primary EOBs and attach appropriately to claim
  3. Update financial class and patient representative code appropriately in AS400.
  4. Ensure all processes documented in note entry on AS400.
  5. Process all hospital outgoing mail daily.
  6. Retrieve EOB as requested by Patient Financial Services insurance collectors.
  7. Possess full working knowledge of patient account filing system within the Business Office, keeping all files current.
  8. Process incoming document and sort according to established file system; file correspondence, reports, records, and                     other documents.  Investigate missing file folders; locate or prepare duplicate folders.
  9. Remove material from files as requested; maintain record of material removed.  Prepare new and remove obsolete file folders as assigned. 
  10. Respond appropriately to all requests; written, verbal, via email or phone, paying special attention to all areas of customer service.

  3. Refrains from gossip and uses discretion when handling patient information.
  4. Dress code and grooming standards
  5. Daily presents self as required in appropriate professional or business-like attire.
  6. Daily wears identification badge properly displayed.
  7. Daily arrives clean, pressed, and well groomed with tidy hair according to policy.

  2. Arrives for work on time and ready for work.
  3. Consistently careful to use only allotted time for coffee and meal breaks.
  4. Control in-office/department visiting of a personal nature.
  5. Controls personal telephone calls keeping them to a minimum.

This Is Designated as A Saftey-Sensetive Position. 

 

Wage: $16.28 - $20.65
