Special Education Teacher | Kennewick WA | 2026–2027 School Year

Ampersand Therapy is hiring Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year in Kennewick Washington. Job Highlights:

  • Position: Special Education Teacher (In-person)

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

  • School Year: 2026–2027

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Provide developmentally appropriate instruction that supports early learning, communication, social-emotional growth, and school readiness

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Collaborate with families, related service providers, and multidisciplinary team members

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and appropriate assistive technology when needed

  • Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and family conferences

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State teaching certificate

  • Special Education endorsement required

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children or early childhood special education preferred

  • Must have current fingerprints on file with OSPI or be willing to complete them
