CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist

Witco is currently looking for highly motivated, reliable and experienced candidates to join our Lathe Department. Witco operates 16 CNC Lathes with Okuma and FANUC controls. We offer competitive wages (based on experience) and benefits package.

Candidates should have the following abilities:

• Experience in set-up, troubleshooting, and adjusting of CNC Lathes and bar feeders
• G-Code Programming
  
• Calculate and set controls to regulate speeds, feeds, coolant flow, and depth of cut
• Enter commands to retrieve, input or edit programs
• Align and secure: fixtures, work holdings, cutting tools, attachments, accessories
• Change standard cutting tools and reset machine to proper size
• Adjust basic offsets to maintain part integrity
• Detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance conditions
• Hold tight tolerances (less than .001”)
• Blue Print Reading
• GD&T knowledge and understanding
• Machining various types of materials
• Standard gauges and inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gages, etc.

Having your own standard inspection equipment is a plus. Witco offers a gauge and tool purchase program to help our machinists improve their toolbox.

• Lunch 12:00pm – 12:30pm

Located near Yale, Michigan, Witco Inc. is a precision CNC Turning, Milling, and Gear Cutting company that services various global industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Metal Mining, Oil and Gas, and Outdoor Sporting Goods. We are a short run facility with typical build sizes ranging from 10-pieces to 1000-pieces.
