Position Summary

The HR Manager/Business Partner serves as the senior on-site Human Resources leader for EXALTA’s Kenosha manufacturing operation, acting as a strategic business partner to plant leadership and a steward of enterprise HR programs. This role balances tactical execution with operational partnership — driving workforce performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting talent strategy, and reinforcing a high-engagement manufacturing culture aligned to EXALTA’s growth and value-creation objectives.

In a regulated medical device manufacturing environment, the HR Manager ensures HR processes enable productivity, scalability, and compliance while supporting leaders in building capable, accountable teams that meet operational, quality, and financial targets.

Core Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Workforce Strategy

  • Partner with Plant Leadership to align workforce plans with production, capacity, and financial objectives
  • Translate enterprise HR strategy into site-level execution (talent, performance, engagement, and culture initiatives)
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and leadership capability
  • Analyze workforce data (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, productivity indicators) to inform decision-making

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Lead investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
  • Support audit readiness and documentation requirements aligned with regulated manufacturing standards
  • Promote proactive employee engagement and issue resolution to maintain positive labor climate

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to execute hiring strategies for hourly and professional roles
  • Ensure effective onboarding and assimilation for new hires
  • Support succession planning and development planning for critical roles
  • Implement leadership capability initiatives and performance management processes

HR Operations Execution

  • Oversee site level administration of HR programs including performance management, compensation actions, and workforce changes
  • Coordinate benefits and HRIS transactions with centralized HR Operations
  • Maintain accurate workforce records and reporting
  • Support integration and standardization initiatives across EXALTA sites

Culture, Engagement & Communication

  • Drive site communication initiatives aligned to enterprise messaging
  • Lead employee listening and engagement activities
  • Reinforce organizational values and expected leadership behaviors
  • Support change management efforts during transformation or integration initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
  • 5–8+ years progressive HR experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters
  • Strong leadership coaching and influencing capability
  • Competency with HRIS/ATS systems and workforce analytics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing
  • Multi-site or post-merger integration exposure
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP / PHR / SPHR certification
