Job DetailsJob Location: Kenosha YMCA - Kenosha, WI 53144Position Type: Part TimeJob Shift: DayKnowledge and Skills:  Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques  An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies, and procedures  Leadership and public relations skills  Decision-making skills    Responsibilities:  Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.  Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.  Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor.  Takes ownership of schedule by ensuring appropriate coverage; securing substitutes when necessary, and substituting for others when needed  Complete records and reports.  Maintain current certifications and consistently participate in regular in-service trainings and meetings  Reads and responds to system and departmental emails and phone calls in a timely manner.   Maintain fitness level (swimming skills, strength and endurance).  Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications  15 yrs with valid Work Permit Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid Current certification in Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer 0-6 month experience Ability to control up to 30 people in a pool environment Ability to work independently and stay alert Ability to resolve issues in professional manner. Knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques Leadership and public relations skills Decision-making skills Background check cannot contain offenses restricted by state law for individuals over 18yrs.
