Job Responsibilities:Â
- Â Reviews blueprints and other specification papers before starting work on a welding process and during the steps to assure accurate completion.Â
- Selects TIG welding equipment, such as torch, torch tip and filler rod according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material. Â
- Tack welds parts to ensure that all parts on the order are properly aligned and fitted.Â
- TIG welds stainless steel fittings and tubing together into spools, manifolds, and miscellaneous custom fittings per print specifications.Â
- Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.Â
- Maintains weld recording and logging records.Â
- Performs borescope inspection for weld defectsÂ
- Visual weld inspection using fillet gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and weld fixtures.Â
- Strict attention to detail and production of high-quality parts.Â
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE.Â
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentations (work orders, drawings, and specifications).Â
- Ability to follow work instructions and work well in a team.Â
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.Â
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.Â
- HS Diploma or equivalentÂ
- At least 2 years of TIG welding experience.Â
- Orbital welding experience a plusÂ
- Must be able to pass standard vision test; Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.Â
- Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, and different climate temperatures.Â
- Occasionally lifts 25 – 45 lbs. Â
-  Must be able to stand for prolonged time periods. Â
- Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.Â
