The Baker at High Watch Recovery Center and Wilson’s by High Watch plays a pivotal role in baking breads, crafting pastries, and creating confectionaries. This position involves a spectrum of tasks including dough mixing, cake baking, decoration, and ensuring cleanliness. Additionally, the Baker contributes to setting up displays, maintaining presentation standards, and managing inventory by stocking and rotating goods, as well as monitoring product needs and replacements.

Baker Responsibilities:Â
- Report directly to the Bakery Manager. In the absence of the Bakery Manager, report to the Assistant Bakery Manager.Â
- Follow recipes meticulously to prepare a diverse range of breads, cakes, confectionaries, and pastries to established standards.
- Expertly mix doughs, bake cakes, and produce confectionaries while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Decorate baked goods to meet presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area.
- Assist in setting up displays to showcase baked goods attractively.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock shelves, rotate goods, and communicate any product needs.
- Conduct quality control checks, including tasting and sampling produced goods, to ensure top-notch quality.
- Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to HWRC policies and procedures.
- Adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.

 Baker Requirements:Â
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous long-term employment as a baker or bachelor's degree in baking and pastry arts.
- Strong communication, time management, and planning skills.
- Attention to detail, particularly during quality inspections.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively to solve problems, plan schedules, and fulfill orders.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including availability for early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

- The physical demands and work environment require the ability to walk, bend, stand, climb stairs, speak English, hear, use a telephone, drive, and operate standard office equipment.
