The Laboratory Systems Analyst serves as MarinHealth’s primary resource for laboratory information systems (LIS) and middleware, ensuring reliable, compliant data flow between lab instruments, middleware (e.g., DI/Instrument Manager, RALS), and the EHR (Epic/Beaker). Reporting to the Manager, Laboratory Services with a dotted-line partnership to IT Clinical Applications, this role acts as the operational liaison between Laboratory and IT—driving upgrades, change control, validation, training, and readiness for CAP/Joint Commission accreditation. The Analyst maintains on-site presence in the lab five days per week to support day-to-day operations, collaborate with section leads, and facilitate rapid issue triage. The role coordinates monthly joint Lab–IT governance touchpoints to review interfaces, maintenance windows, downtimes, and project status, and partners with vendors on roadmap and incident resolution. For planned after-hours events, the Analyst flexes their schedule to provide Lab-side support; for unplanned after-hours incidents, IT executes the established runbook and engages the Analyst for clinical context and LIS coordination as needed. Success in this role is measured by instrument/EHR interface reliability, change quality (no unintended workflow impact), audit readiness, timely completion of projects/IT Tickets, and prompt stakeholder communication.Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
