40Job Description Summary:
Provides Radiologic examinations to patients under the general Supervision of the Medical Director of Imaging Services. Working under general supervision, operates radiographic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Work will include related tasks that directly support the delivery of care.Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
EDUCATION
- Education required to achieve mandatory certification
- Must have graduated an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
EXPERIENCE
- 1-year clinical experience preferred. New graduates considered.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Registered Technologist in Radiology ARRT(R)required at hire
- Must hold current certification from the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire
- Integrative Assaultive Management (IAM) required during employee onboarding.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Fluoroscopy) [CRT(F)] preferred
PREREQUISITE SKILLS
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the performance of diagnostic imaging studies for patients of all age groups from infant to geriatrics.
- By their actions, technologists will demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate with all contacts in a professional, caring and effective manner.
- May occasionally be required to participate in Quality Improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL (not modifiable)
- Demonstrate competence to perform all imaging procedures as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual.
- Demonstrates through direct observation, the ability to utilize PACS devices in acquiring and presenting studies for interpretation.
- Accurately presents patient studies for interpretation. Information will include pertinent clinical history, physicians order, demographics and other data necessary to interpret the exam.
- Communicate equipment issues to management in a timely manner for service resolution.
- Demonstrates the consistent use of universal precautions in all patient contacts.
- Demonstrate through actions the ability to effectively use alternative methods to resolve problems as they arise.
- Regularly interface with the Radiology Information System to accurately represent procedural information.
- Effectively interacts with co-workers and physician in a positive and professional manner.
- Assist with clerical support functions as needed to most efficiently process patient studies.
SECONDARY (modifiable)
- Other duties as assigned. Including, but not limited to Quality assurance studies, quality control functions, attendance at departmental meetings and other occasional tasks or assignments.

Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth’s compensation philosophy.
