Multiple Needs - RN Behavioral Health in Grand Rapids, MI with $2200 Weekly Gross

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Behavioral Health RNs for travel/contract positions in Grand Rapids, MI. We are accepting both local and traveler candidates. 

Position Details:

Pay Rate: Range $2000 to $2120 weekly Gross pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit/s

Shifts available: Afternoons

Schedule: Afternoons: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 shifts per week, Every other weekend | 48 hrs/week  - available 

Position Requirements:

• Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
  
• Recent/Current IPsychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health experience in a psych setting: 2 years – Required
  
• Prior travel experience - Preferred
  

Education, License and Certification Requirements:

• ASN or an equivalent – Required
  
• BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
  
• RN License for State of MI - Required
  
• BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
  

Job Description:

• Provide all aspects of BH nursing for patients in the assigned units
  
• Assesses person’s served care needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and continually reassesses plan of care according to person’s served care needs.
  
• In collaboration with the physician, provides/coordinates nursing care to individuals and groups of person’s served.
  
• Assists in the teaching of persons’ served families, and provides milieu management.
  
• Communicates with and educates persons’ served families/significant others in discharge/after care planning needs.
  
• Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff in both individual and group settings.
  
• Responsible for documenting, reporting, and verifying all necessary information according to established policies and procedures.
  
• Responsible to monitor for and report to the physician(s) any potential risk to person’s served safety that could lead to an adverse outcome.
  
• Functions as a clinical leader, delegating/coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
  
• May be responsible in training direct care staff.
  
• Performs other duties or functions as assigned.
  
• May function as a charge nurse.
