Maintenance Technician – Part-Time (10 – 12 hours per week)

Whiskers Resort & Pet Spa is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities, equipment, and outdoor play areas in excellent condition. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment, and can work independently while managing a variety of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities (utilizing a weekly/monthly checklist)

Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
Maintain building systems, equipment, grooming and laundry areas, and outdoor play yards.
Inspect facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and complete repairs or coordinate additional service when necessary.
Perform scheduled cleaning and maintenance of equipment, HVAC filters, floor care equipment, and other facility systems.
Maintain the grounds, pet play areas, and sanitation systems to ensure they remain clean, safe, and operational.
Complete routine safety inspections and help ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
Document completed maintenance, report equipment issues, and communicate supply or repair needs to General Manager.
Assist with special projects, seasonal maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

General maintenance, custodial, or facilities experience preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to identify problems and complete minor repairs independently.
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending, climbing, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain maintenance records.
Reliable, dependable, and self-directed.

Preferred Skills

Experience with facility maintenance or commercial cleaning equipment.
Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry knowledge.
