Job DetailsJob Location: Lititz, PA 17543Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayLeads the development, implementation and ongoing oversight of Landis Communities Dementia-Friendly Center of Excellence strategy in a way that supports the mission, vision and values of the organization. This strategy includes Education, Physical Environment, Programming, Technology and Research/Innovation initiatives. Plans and implements a diverse and unique engagement program that supports Landis Communities memory care philosophy.  Supports the Dementia-Friendly program across all levels of living and insures consistency of opportunities regardless of where the person lives, enabling residents to reach their highest potential and independence through active engagement and resident directed programs. Full Time, Salaried Position Position Essential Duties/Responsibilities Continues skill and knowledge development beginning with Positive Approach to Care (PAC). Develops a team of PAC coaches, consultants and mentors. Offers educational opportunities to caregivers and families. Develops orientation and support for family members. Develops a community resource center offering seminars for care givers within Landis and ultimately beyond. Collaborates to define our Landis Communities priorities for a dementia-friendly physical environment including lighting, sound, biophilic design, etc. Secures Dementia-Friendly Provider status with Dementia-Friendly America. Develops and advocates for dementia-friendly programming that meets individualized needs of residents and clients so a resident experiences continuity regardless of where they live. Assists social work and life enrichment staff with dementia-friendly delivery of service. Performs continuous research of new technologies that support a dementia-friendly environment that can be individualized and provide residents and clients with maximum autonomy.  Collaborates with clinical teams and IT to continuous improvement as new technologies become available.  Collaborates with Pastoral Services to provide Dementia-Friendly support groups, care and music when possible. Collaborates with all levels of living to promote Dementia-Friendly programming. Qualifications Master’s degree in a human services field including nursing, social work, music therapy or other related degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree in human services field required. Prior experience in related field, supervisory setting and program development preferred. Experience in public speaking, leading and/or teaching groups is required. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with experience working with multiple teams required. Training experience specific to Dementia (Teepa Snow, Alzheimer’s Association, etc.) preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience with memory care, cognitive changes, and older adults required. Proficient in use of computer and related technology required for the role. Good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills required.
