Job Overview: As a Haul Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in the transportation of materials within the mining site, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of material. The ideal candidate will have experience operating large haul trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a dynamic mining environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safe Operation of Haul Trucks:
- Operate haul trucks to transport materials within the mining site.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Material Transportation:
- Load, transport, and unload materials according to project specifications and production schedules.
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators and supervisors to coordinate material movement.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Conduct pre-shift inspections on haul trucks and report any issues to the maintenance team.
- Ensure routine maintenance tasks are performed to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of material transported, distances covered, and fuel consumption.
- Report any incidents or accidents promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Articulating Haul Truck Driver in a mining or heavy equipment environment.
- MSHA certificate preferred.
- Knowledge of safe haul truck operation practices.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and outdoor environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
