Job Summary Incumbent will assist with a wide variety of maintenance projects including but not limited to KIC interior / exterior building repair, grounds, internal / external systems, and offices.  Requires availability for flexible schedules and work assignments outside of regularly scheduled shift(s) (evenings, weekends, extended shifts, etc.). QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS Licensure Possess current valid State of Alaska driver's license with a record acceptable to KIC’s Insurance carrier. Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent required.  Related experience preferred, on-the-job training available.   KIC COMPETENCIES Cultural Competency: To be respectful and responsive to the health beliefs, practices, and cultural and linguistic needs of KIC Tribal Members. Physical Activities Must have full range of physical motion as required to properly operate manual and electric power tools.  Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl into awkward spaces.  Routinely lifting and carrying items and boxes up to forty (40) pounds. Verbally communicate to exchange information. Normal visual and hearing range with or without correction. Working Conditions Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a variety of environments and weather with exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals in both indoor and outdoor construction, carpentry, maintenance, and sanitization duties.  Employees will be working in/on KIC properties while occupied by patients, staff, clients, etc.  Therefore, must be courteous, considerate and neat in appearance.
