Location

The property offers 73 guest rooms and 12 single-level penthouse residences, all with sweeping views of Idaho’s Rocky Mountains. Guests and owners will enjoy an elevated level of personalized service and an extensive amenity suite, including a 5,700-square-foot full-service spa, a 1,500-square-foot fitness center, six treatment rooms, an indoor thermal pool, cold plunge, sauna, and steam rooms. A state-of-the-art rooftop observatory and outdoor terrace bar will provide unobstructed access to the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve, the first designated preserve of its kind in the U.S. and one of only 12 globally.

Overview

Located at the southeast corner of Main Street and River Street East—the gateway to downtown Ketchum, Idaho—and just minutes from Bald Mountain’s River Run base, this exceptional property will debut as Sun Valley’s first luxury hotel and for-sale residence offering. As part of the Viceroy team, you’ll help bring our signature experiential hospitality to one of North America’s most iconic, year-round mountain destinations

 

The Spa Attendant ensures that all spa facilities, locker rooms, treatment areas, and relaxation spaces are impeccably maintained and presented to luxury standards. This role supports the guest journey by providing warm, anticipatory service and helping create a serene, welcoming environment. The Spa Attendant works closely with the spa reception, therapists, and Management teams to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests in a warm, professional manner, offering guidance throughout their spa experience.
  • Escort guests to locker rooms, relaxation lounges, and wet areas, ensuring comfort and privacy.
  • Anticipate guest needs by providing amenities, refreshments, towels, robes, and slippers.
  • Maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming atmosphere at all times.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or concerns.
  • Maintain pristine cleanliness and organization of locker rooms, relaxation areas, and all wet facilities (sauna, steam, showers, thermal area).
  • Ensure all amenities, spa products, refreshments, and towels are consistently stocked and displayed to luxury standards.
  • Monitor spa traffic and cleanliness throughout the shift, adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Assist in preparing treatment rooms before and after services, when required.
  • Set up for various body treatments in accordance to spa SOPs.
  • Quickly report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
  • Follow all daily checklists, cleaning schedules, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Coordinate with therapists, front desk, and Management to support smooth operations.
  • Maintain inventory of robes, towels, slippers, drinks, and supplies; assist with restocking and ordering.
  • Support special requests, VIP preparations, and in-spa promotions.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards, including proper handling of linens and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensure all safety procedures for wet areas are followed and communicated to guests when necessary.
  • Adhere to property, brand, and local regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, wellness, or luxury service preferred.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with a calm, polished demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in humid/wet environments and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport linen baskets and supplies (up to ~30 lbs).
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Warm, gracious, and guest-focused.
  • High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a luxurious environment.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and proactive.
