The Residential Housing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing activities offered at assigned residential housing facilities serving persons with behavioral health problems. In this rewarding role, the Residential Housing Coordinator provides administrative and clinical oversight and supervision of the residential housing staff and the facilities ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented in order to meet the standards set forth by Bridgeway and other stakeholders. A summarized description of clinical and supervisor responsibilities is listed below: Clinical - Responsible for ensuring quality skill development/training and rehabilitation opportunities for consumers residing at each residence. To include working in partnership with Community Support Specialist staff that are responsible for coordinating services for consumers residing in each site. Supervision - Directly supervises Residential Assistants and Residential Team Leaders in identified Residential Housing sites. Responsibilities include making recommendations for hiring; new hire orientation, ensuring ongoing training of employees including the timely completion of mandatory training requirements; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Minimum requirements include having MHP credentials. Mental health professional (MHP) means a person who provides services under the supervision of a qualified mental health professional (QMHP) and who possesses a bachelor 's degree in human services, a practical nurse license pursuant to the Illinois Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act [225 ILCS 65], or who has a minimum of five years supervised experience in mental health or human services.
