Job DetailsJob Location: Kewanee, IL 61443Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $17.00 - $25.50 HourlyJob Shift: First ShiftCome Join Bridgeway as a Residential Team Leader! The Residential Team Leader, under the direction of the Residential Housing Coordinator, will assist in the day-to-day operation of the residences that provide supervised and supported living opportunities for persons with behavioral health problems. This will include assisting with the orientation and training of new residential staff; assisting with consumer community provider appointments; assisting with menu planning and grocery shopping; assisting with the regular monitoring and reconciliation of link cards and consumer in-house funds. Additionally, help to ensure quality skill development/training and rehabilitation opportunities for consumers residing in Bridgeway residences. To learn more about this position, please see the summarized list of duties below: -Participate as an active member in the Interdisciplinary Team including providing input related to observations of consumer progress, overall consumer functioning recommendations for service planning and implementing consume center plans. -Work with the Residential Coordinators to train, mentor and ensure that new direct service staff are trained and able to complete their job duties and responsibilities including competent usage of electronic medical records. -Provide medication oversight and document the self-administration of medications according to agency procedures. Ensure proper storage and safeguarding of consumer medications maintained in centralized locked location in the residential facility. -Monitor each consumer's physical and mental status, observing for early signs of decompensation and ensure that the necessary interventions are secured. Assist with the completion of programmatic assessments for consumers living in the residential setting. Also assist with the procedures and transition services for consumers moving into or out of the residential program. -Interact with consumers in a way that increases their independence, enhances self-esteem, self-awareness and decision-making ability through demonstrating application of active treatment and normalization. Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma/GED and must be 21 years of age or older. A minimum 2 years documented experience working with persons with behavioral/mental disabilities is preferred. Must also have one or more years of human service experience. Must also meet Department of Mental Health (DMH) credentialing requirements of a Rehabilitative Services Assistant (RSA). Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and meets organization's insurability requirements.
