Caddie - The Ocean Course

Position Summary: We are engaging self-motivated individuals with basic golf knowledge and flexible schedules to work as a Golf Caddie at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.  Ideal candidates possess superior customer service skills and can work weekends or holidays, as needed. Caddie positions are Part-Time and year round.

For this position, you must have a general knowledge of the golf game and be able to pass a basic assessment demonstrating your golf knowledge.  However, you are not required to be an expert Golfer or have any Caddie experience to perform well.

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

•  All Caddies are required to have general golf knowledge, meaning you can play or prompt another Golfer, though you do not need to be an expert or even play well.
• Must be outgoing and have a customer-first personality.
• Must work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good to Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Must be engaging, self-motivated, and have flexible schedules.
• Possess general knowledge of the game of golf.
• Cheerfully interact and deliver world-class customer service to all golfers.
• Calculate yardage for golfers.
• Locate errant shots.
• Maintain the course.
• Clean clubs and golf balls.
• Provide course knowledge and information.
• Assist golfers with decision-making.
• On-course training.
• Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
• All other duties as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically capable of carrying two bags that can weigh up to 35 pounds each while walking the length of the golf course multiple times a day.
• Must be able to work in all-weather elements, sometimes extreme heat.
• Must be able to stand for majority of shift, while bending, stretching, and lifting.
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
