The Guest Relations Agent will offer in-person, face-to-face personalized guest check in briefing and retail sales support at the base of operations. The role will focus on providing extraordinary service to our guests at every touch point with Blue Hawaiian, including check-in, Safety briefings, flight following, ramp operations and retail sales.  The Guest Relations Agent will help grow base revenue with retail sales which will ensure a memorable vacation experience for the guest. A teammate in this role is expected to be knowledgeable about the local area and an expert on the attractions, tours, and retail that we sell.   This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Blue Hawaiian’s Operational Specifications, Human Resources Requirements and Safety Management System.Â
Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  Â
- Provide each guest with a professional and courteous greeting and extraordinary guest serviceÂ
- Establish rapport and trust with the guest and assist guest in selecting the product that matches their needs. Needs are assessed via the discovery process (i.e. asking questions)Â
- Sell retail items and upsell experiencesÂ
- Take responsibility for solving guest issues in a timely fashion with satisfaction and a sense of urgency. Follow up on issues to ensure that they are resolvedÂ
- Provide a thorough, detailed recap of the purchase along with properly thanking the guest for their business Â
- Other duties as assignedÂ
Additional Job RequirementsÂ
- Availability Required:  Sunday – SaturdayÂ
- Generally, 3 – 5 days per week, with one day being on a Saturday or SundayÂ
- Any desk, any shift (Opening, mid, or closing shifts between the hours of 7 am – 6 pm)Â
- Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling – 0%Â
Subject to applicable laws and Blue Hawaiian policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.  All employees must follow Blue Hawaiians’ employment practices and policies. Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education & ExperienceÂ
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Â
- Excellent Personal interaction skillsÂ
- Expert-level knowledge of the local area and attractionsÂ
- Knowledge of tour industryÂ
SkillsÂ
- Adaptable and able to support change within the businessÂ
- Ability to overcome objections and offer alternate solutionsÂ
- Timeliness and a professional appearanceÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent English required, bilingual a plus)Â
- Strong listening skills to be able to identify customer needÂ
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a sales driven environmentÂ
- Ability to occasionally lift to 25 pounds and to stand for long periods of timeÂ
- Proven ability to juggle multiple duties and prioritizeÂ
Computer SkillsÂ
- Intermediate with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Â
