The role you’ll contribute:
The Clinical Educator is responsible for facilitating the development of clinical excellence in assigned areas through active participation in orientation, training/role transition, career development, continuing education/continued competence and academic partnerships. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

- Monitors and reports compliance with required documentation for orientation, training, and continuing education.
- Facilitates academic partnerships by ensuring appropriate student placement and a positive experience within the facility.
- Designs and manages continuing education programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of assigned staff based on needs assessments.
- Participates in leadership activities, communicates effectively, and serves as a positive change agent for organizational initiatives and goals.
- Develops and coordinates orientation programs for healthcare staff, ensuring cost-effective and comprehensive training for nursing personnel.
- Creates, plans, implements, and evaluates training activities for new graduate and experienced nurses, including coaching and performance evaluation.
- Maintains knowledge of national and local trends in nursing practice to inform educational programs and initiatives.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License to practice in the state of Texas or a Compact
- BLS Certification
- 2+ years of experience working in labor & delivery, postpartum, or women’s health
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· 5+ years of experience working as an RN in labor & delivery
· NRP Certification
· 1+ years of experience working as a clinical educator or instructor
· 2+ years of experience working as a clinical educator or instructor teaching fetal monitoring or NRP educator
· ANCC - Nursing Professional Development Certification (ANCC-NPD) Preferred
