Job DetailsJob Location: Bournewood Hospital - Brookline, MA 02467Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $31.25 - $38.46 HourlyJob Shift: Day***If offered employment, FREE LMHC supervision provided for those requiring hours for licensure.*** Bournewood Hospital is looking for a qualified Expressive Therapist to provide expressive arts therapies and psychoeducational groups, individual psychotherapy and recreational activities on inpatient units for adult acute psychiatric treatment, substance use disorder treatment and adolescent acute care. Job Summary: Provides rehabilitation services for patients through occupational or expressive therapy. Plans, organizes, and implements appropriate group interventions consistent with individual and group needs. Provides occupational therapy evaluations and recommendation in consultation with treatment team. Essential Functions To provide individual Occupational Therapy evaluations for patients as needed. To provide recommendations for treatment team members on inpatient units regarding potential needs for specialized rehab services Make recommendations to Social Worker or Discharge Planner regarding special needs to be taken into consideration when planning patients aftercare. Develops and conducts group programs Documents pertinent clinical data following groups Reviews multi-disciplinary treatment plan and identifies Rehab-based treatment goals and interventions Assists as necessary for projects, reports, and other duties as assigned by manager QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Must be a Masters graduate or higher from an accredited ET program, preferably with certification and licensure, or license eligible. Prefer at least 1 year of experience working on an inpatient psychiatric and/or substance use disorder treatment program Must have the ability to work independently as part of a collaborative and supportive team. This setting requires a confident, flexible, creative therapist who is willing to use a variety of modalities, including ET and verbal therapy to accommodate the ever-changing needs of the short-term inpatient population.
