We are looking for a Finisher to join our team in Killingly, Connecticut.

The Finisher position is responsible for performing all finishing processes including Washing (Automatic and Tumbling), Oiling, etc. Responsible for operating the equipment and department in compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations and SPIROL general safety rules.

  • It is the finisher's responsibility to verify that all equipment, containers, processing baskets and drums are clean, free of debris or other products, and will not contribute to contamination of products.
  • Prior to processing any product, verify that the temperatures to be used are within acceptable levels.
  • Prior to processing any product, review the Job Card and Product Drawing to ensure that the product is processed per the routing instructions on the Job Card and that all special notes and or instructions on the Job Card and Product Drawing are followed.
  • Process product in accordance with work instructions. If there are any questions, notify supervisor immediately.
  • At the completion of the job, review the work order to ensure that all prior routing steps are signed off, all containers are identified and that all requirements are met. If acceptable, sign off on the job and move on to the next operation (dock audit, sorting).
  • Meet or exceed the standards of performance for all finishing operations. Under normal situations, the finisher will be operating several processes at once.
  • Practice good housekeeping and maintain a clean organized, uncluttered work area, which is free of hazards at all times.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and classroom or on-the-job training in environmental management including hazardous waste material.
  • Mechanical aptitude and mathematical proficiency.
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs. using approved lifting techniques.
