The job of the Lift Operator is to execute the proper, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of our guests. To inspect, record and report the condition of all lift machinery. To provide maximum ticket security by ensuring each guest has a valid pass and to understand and promote Killington Pico Ski Resort products and services.  Summary of Key Responsibilities:  Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:  Daily inspection and safe operation of lifts and gondolas  Execute opening procedures, daily operations and closing procedures for Lift Operations  Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of guests from an assigned lift  Knowledgeably and efficiently administer emergency procedures including lift breakdowns, evacuation, fire, and accident reporting. Communicate to guests, when appropriate, the status of a lift breakdown  Execute opening procedures, daily operations and closing procedures for Lift Access Operations  Provide a safe and presentable lift area by maintaining snow/ice buildup, removing trash and litter, and keeping low clearance/portal areas marked and visible  Use tools provided to remove excess snow/ice from lift areas including but limited to the load/unload areas, maze, and low clearance/portal areas  Provide an active and efficient flow of guests through the maze  Ensure ticket security by monitoring RFID gate access for validation of passes  Excellent ongoing guest service  Communicate and make quick decisions and be a source of knowledgeable information in dealing with guest needs or questions as they arise  Other duties as assigned: This job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for this job and is not intended to be an inclusive list of job tasks and expectations.
