Full training provided including Patrol Medical and Ski & Taboggan handling No prior Patrol experience necessary Job Summary: Killington/Pico Resort Volunteer Patroller plays a critical role in maintaining slope safety, providing emergency medical care, and educating guests. Ski patrol helps ensure that guests can experience the mountain safely and confidently. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Provide emergency first aid to injured guests Transport injured and uninjured skier/riders Patrol assigned mountain areas regularly, identify and mark hazards Participate in appropriate training workshops/clinics and study of instructional material Enforce and educate company skiing safety regulations and take appropriate disciplinary action as needed Perform trail closing procedures Assist in lift evacuation Complete all documentation as it pertains to accident reports Assist in maintaining tools and equipment used in rescue and trail maintenance work Provide superior service to our internal and external guests Perform other tasks as assigned QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Basic education (high school or GED) Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability Must have or pass CPR/AED certification Must pass OEC prior to working independently on hill Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Volunteer on weekends and holiday periods, 21 days through winter season Effective communication skills Superior ability to work independently and collaboratively Commitment to safety Ability to work in challenging outdoor settings Excellent guest service skills It is the policy of Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC to provide equal opportunity to all volunteer applicants. No person shall be discriminated against in any condition because of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, place of birth, age, physical or mental condition, or any qualified individual with a disability or veteran status.
