Southern Mechanical is looking for a skilled and dependable Plumbing Journeyman to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced plumber who takes pride in their work, works well independently and with a team, and understands the unique demands of multi-family construction and service.

What You'll Do:

As a Plumbing Journeyman, you will be responsible for performing plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and service work for multi-family and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and service calls
Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and related equipment
Read and interpret plumbing plans, drawings, and specifications
Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Communicate professionally with customers and explain plumbing issues and recommended solutions in easy-to-understand terms
Build positive customer relationships and identify appropriate products and services based on customer needs
Work closely with customer service representatives, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure a positive customer experience
Train and mentor plumbing helpers and less-experienced team members
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Maintain an organized and properly stocked company vehicle
Complete service documentation, paperwork, and job records accurately and on time
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
3–5+ years of plumbing experience preferred
Journeyman plumbing experience required
Valid driver's license and good driving record
EPA certification preferred/required as applicable to the position
OSHA 10 certification preferred
Experience with multi-family plumbing construction or service is a plus
