King City, CA 93930. ​​​​​​Previous applicants are encouraged to apply.   Job Summary: The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another. Their job duties include, but are not limited to, loading, unloading, abiding by traffic laws, and ensuring safe unloading and delivery at their destination. This is a hands-on physical position. Supervisory Responsibilities: • None. Duties/Responsibilities: • Local driving. • Communicating and coordinating with the dispatcher. • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws. • Securing cargo, properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle. • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving. • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours, rest, and meal periods with state and federal regulations. • Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules. • Complying with truck driving rules, regulations, and requirements. • Reporting defects, accidents, and violations. • Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.). • Interacting with customers in a professional manner. • Performing pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection reports. • Recording cargo deliveries. • Verifying loads for accuracy. • Performs other duties as needed and/or directed by his/her supervisor. QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities: • Ability to pass a physical exam and be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. • May be exposed to loud noises, harmful materials, or dangerous machinery. • Hand-eye coordination, must be able to coordinate hands, legs, and eyes to maintain a fast reaction time on the road. • Visual and hearing acuity. • Ability to adhere to all company Safety initiatives and requirements. Education and Experience: • No experience required, training provided. • CDL A Location: On the road • Clean driving record. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods working on a computer. • Ability to pass physical exam and be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward positions. • Able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time. • May be exposed to loud noises, harmful materials, or dangerous machinery.
