Job Description

This roleĀ isĀ responsible forĀ the development of creative assets; from concepting ecommerce shoots and brand lookbooks, to the execution of creative content across all brand channels including the deployment of brand photography and video as well as all graphic design within Creative Services (digital, physical, brand).Ā Ā These designed assets must support the brand vision and strategies that align with our annual and seasonal plans and lead to multi-year growth in PBT (Profit-Before-Tax).Ā Ā Performance in this position is measured by achieving targets for total company operating income and profit-before-taxĀ over a multi-year period and reducing expenses.Ā Ā Ā 

A day in the life… 

​Functional leadership of Creative ContentĀ AssetĀ DevelopmentĀ andĀ functional leadership ofĀ Creative ServicesĀ andĀ Design for Website, Email, Advertising, Blog, Loyalty,Ā Social Media, Promotions, Retail,Ā WholesaleĀ and BrandĀ SupportĀ 

  • Lead and develop a team of creatives, delivering brand content across digital, social, e-Comm, and in-store signage/brandingĀ 

  • Translate brand vision into practical creative strategy for graphics team, meet rigorous timelines and pivot as needed based on the changing dynamics of the businessĀ 

  • Assure daily team priorities are set and executedĀ 

  • Own creative workflow and communication: resourcing, deadlines, reviews, and stakeholder alignmentĀ 

  • Build visual journeys and presentation decks (support concepting,Ā mood brands, storytellingĀ consistency) for internal/external approvalsĀ 

  • Produce and elevate eCommerce and lookbook creative with a strong eye for market, trend, and brand relevance and on-site executionĀ 

  • IdentifyĀ new, compelling ways for the brand to present digitally and across channelsĀ 

  • Drive cross-functional execution in partnership with Content Planning, Merchandising, Art Direction, Graphic Design, Styling, and the Senior Director of BrandĀ &Ā Creative DevelopmentĀ 

  • Lead graphic design and AI development for modern retailĀ Ā 

  • Support execution of creative campaignsĀ 

  • Assure day to day marketing is brand first, modern, cohesive and meets the consumer where she/he isĀ 

  • Build andĀ maintainĀ strong relationships across the companyĀ 

Functional leadership of Creative ContentĀ DevelopmentĀ 

  • Consistently execute the rollout forĀ a refreshedĀ Visual IdentityĀ andĀ PackagingĀ refreshes that continue ourĀ brand modernizationĀ strategy.Ā 

  • DevelopĀ a strong brand rightĀ CreativeĀ StorylineĀ and Strategy for Content Development, refreshing annually and seasonally.Ā Ā 

  • Capture imagery and video thatĀ evokes the brandĀ mission,Ā aligns withĀ modernĀ nostalgiaĀ and drivesĀ brand equitiesĀ while communicatingĀ clearly theĀ 4-pillarĀ strategies of Product Design and Merchandising.Ā Ā Ā 

  • UseĀ metrics-basedĀ evaluationĀ toĀ identifyĀ howĀ content isĀ performing and whyĀ and apply to future content development strategies and tactics.Ā 

  • ManageĀ budget,Ā productionĀ and developmentĀ ofĀ allĀ imagery, incorporatingĀ additionalĀ resources as necessary both internally and externally (e.g.Ā Fashion Design on PDP, Retouching, Consultants, etc.).Ā Ā ImageryĀ willĀ oftenĀ include both photography and videoĀ needs.Ā Ā CoverĀ 4Ā keyĀ buckets (1.Ā Ā Primary seasonal campaigns;Ā 2.Ā SupportingĀ secondary campaigns and key product needs (e.g.Ā home, key initiatives);Ā 3.Ā Brand Marketing/Advertising & PRĀ campaigns (e.g.Ā upper funnel,Ā collaborations);Ā 4. EcommerceĀ PDP.)Ā Ā 

  • Build current content deployed within 2-4 weeks, develop strategies for 3-month future execution, and align with vision for 6-12 month planning to drive more efficient cross promotion of brand storylines to product development.Ā Ā 

Functional leadership of Creative ServicesĀ Ā 

  • Manage allĀ elements of Design for theĀ Website, EmailĀ Marketing, Advertising, Blog, Loyalty,Ā social media, PromotionsĀ and Brand Support.Ā Ā Ā 

  • Manage physical and digital designĀ needs for Retail and WholesaleĀ distributionĀ channels.Ā 

  • Work cross functionally to executeĀ in alignment withĀ strategies for reaching customers both existing and new.Ā

Qualifications for the PositionĀ 

  • AĀ four-year college degree isĀ required, preferably with a major/minor within graphic design, marketing, communications,Ā businessĀ or a relatedĀ subjectĀ is helpful.Ā 

  • 10-15 years of experience, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.Ā Ā 

  • Sufficient fashion sense and knowledge of the customer to understand the vision of the Lilly PulitzerĀ® lifestyle and to develop content strategies that grow the business profitably.Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • Strong creative skills are necessary.Ā
