Position Purpose:

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Safety transports patients in house, to and from the Echo and Cath Lab department via gurney or wheel chair prior to procedure and after procedure; Assists in transferring patients from bed to gurney or gurney to wheel chair and vice versa using proper body mechanics; Transport specimens and equipment and supplies needed. Assist licensed nursing personnel in the care of patients by performing various patient care activities and related non-professional services; Assists with orientation of new staff to the unit as requested; Responds to requests for transport in a pleasant, timely manner; Help keep the procedural area clean, neat and stocked; Order and restock supplies
QualificationsÂ
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Â
2. Must be 18 years of age.Â
3. Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant, OR successful completion of a Nursing Assistant certification program. Current valid LNA Licensure.Â
4. Current BLS (CPR) Certification

Work Requirements
HYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. 2. Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills. 3. Able to manage technical business equipment i.e. phone, fax, computer etc. 4. Able to assist with the movement of an adult patient weighing up to 300 lbs. 5. Able to care for patients with infectious diseases. 6. Ability to sit for 3-5 hours per day. 7. Able to stand for 3-5 hours per day. 8. Ability to walk for 3-5 hours day.
