Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pre-Operative Clinic team. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-surgical evaluations to ensure patients are medically optimized and cleared for anesthesia and surgery. The APP collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient surgical care.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive pre-operative history and physical examinations
• Assess and stratify surgical risk, including cardiac and pulmonary risk evaluation
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, EKGs, imaging, etc.)
• Optimize chronic medical conditions prior to surgery
• Coordinate patient care with primary care providers, specialists, and surgical teams
• Develop and implement evidence-based pre-operative care plans
• Educate patients on surgical preparation, medication management, and post-operative expectations
• Ensure all required documentation, consents, and clearances are completed prior to surgery
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers regarding surgical readiness
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
Education:
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Certification & Licensure:
• Current Arizona NP or PA license (or ability to obtain)
• Board certification (FNP, AGACNP, or PA-C)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience:
• Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in internal medicine, hospital medicine, urgent care, or perioperative care
• Experience with pre-operative evaluations and risk stratification preferred
